About the Artist

Portrait artist Nancy Rose has been delighting clients with her timeless fine art portraits, both oil paintings and pastel paintings, since 1989. Her portfolio includes family portraits, children's portraits, executive portraits, posthumous portraits and pet portraits.

Clients, and their friends and family alike, are amazed at Nancy Rose's ability to capture the genuine nature of her subject, creating a work of art that will be treasured for generations.

Having attended the Art Student's League of Denver, Nancy Rose studied with nationally renowned artists Doug Dawson and Quang Ho. She has spent much time studying and copying the masters she admires including John Singer Sargent, Mary Cassatt, Vermeer, Robert Henri and Edgar Degas. Her 10 x 4.5 foot copy of DaVinci's The Last Supper hangs in the First Christian Church in California, Missouri.

For over a decade Nancy Rose has been sharing her knowledge with children and adults in a variety of settings. She provides workshops in drawing and painting in several locations in the country.

Nancy Rose is a member of the National Portrait Society, the American Society of Portrait Artists, the National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society, Signature Member of Ozark Pastel Society, board member of the Southwest Missouri Museum Associates for the Springfield Art Museum in Springfield, Missouri, nd previous member of Watercolor USA Honor Society.

In addition to her acclaimed portraits, Nancy Rose has won awards for landscape painting, figure painting, still-life painting, and animal painting. In 2003, her painting Cat Dream #1 was purchased from the Watercolor USA 2003 juried exhibit for inclusion in the permanent collection of the Springfield Art Museum.
